History:

Established in 1982, Marriage & Family Health Services (MFHS) has developed
|
| |
a full-range of assessment and therapeutic services for children, teens, adults, marriages,
|
|
and families. Through its branch offices and in-home program Marriage & Family Health
|
| |
Services mission is to bring the highest quality services to the clients home and community. |
|
|
|
Marriage & Family Health Services is better able to ensure the
confidentiality clients |
| |
demand because it has remained an
independent agency. While working primarily with |
|
health insurance for reimbursement purposes and not being a part of an HMO, Marriage &
|
| |
Family Health Services is able to provide
quality services, and retain confidentiality. |
|
|
|
The staff at Marriage & Family Health Services strive to provide new
and innovative
|
|
services for their clients. The
latest, most effective innovations are utilized to assist the
|
| |
client to reach their goals. We
provide effective therapy for troubled marriages, and
|
| |
families as well as solutions for
individual problems.

|
|
|
The Mikan program was developed in 1995 and is designed to intervene
when |
| |
traditional outpatient services are not sufficient. The Migisi program has been
created |
|
for the 5 - 11 year old; with the Muckwa and Mikan
programs designed for the needs
|
|
of the 12 to 19 year old.
These programs give the child and family an opportunity to |
|
meaningfully change and
remain in their home, school, and community. The Mikan |
| |
programs have been highly successful
and allow the student to keep up
|
| |
academically as they gain
academic
credit while completing their treatment goals. |

Marriage & Family Health Services employs experienced, licensed, and
certified
|
| |
staff who have a sincere
interest in helping their clients. Our staff provide flexible
|
|
hours to include evenings and
in-home therapeutic services.
|
|
|
|
Through the varied expertise of the therapists at Marriage & Family Health Services,
|
| |
each client is better able to work with
someone who can best address their needs. Clients |
|
receive individualized assessments
and treatments plans providing solutions for a wide array |
| |
of individual, relationship, and
family problems. We have licensed psychologists, licensed |
| |
professional counselors, marriage & family therapists, and social
work staff. Each one |
| |
has their own specific areas of therapeutic competence. |
